What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is an immersive experience of sound and vibration, created by various instruments. The term "sound bath" is used because you are bathed in the vibration of sound.

How do I participate? What is the experience?

I will use quartz crystal bowls, gong, and vocal toning to create an improvised concert of highly resonant sounds. The sounds interact with your brain and your body: entraining your brain into a “meditative state” (Theta) and moving energy in the body, effectively promoting rejuvenation and healing from within.

During a sound bath, or a sound bath combined with a guided meditation (e.g. Yoga Nidra), participants lie (in savasana) or sit comfortably on the floor, while taking in the sounds and experiencing their restorative effects. For sound baths combined with yoga, participants are guided through restorative yoga postures - connecting with the body while getting bathed in sound - followed by an extended savasana sound bath.

What to bring/wear

Bring: yoga mat / extra comfort (pillow, blanket, eye cover, bolster, back jack, etc.)

Wear: comfortable clothing, bring layers for warmth (as body tends to cool during sound bath).

How do I get notified of other sound healing events?
